Celesta Frey Prentice

Celesta Frey Prentice, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 71.

Celesta was born on May 31, 1954, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Throughout her life, she was known for her kind heart, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She lived with grace and compassion, always placing the needs of others before her own.

As a mother, Celesta was deeply loving and selfless, offering constant support, guidance, and unconditional love. She was a proud and devoted grandmother who found immense joy in her granddaughter, cherishing every moment spent together. As a friend, Celesta was loyal, compassionate, and always willing to listen, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Celesta is survived by her children, Scott Prentice and Stacey Tubre (Matthew), and her beloved granddaughter, Alexus Rose Tubre. She will be deeply missed by her family and the many friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and care.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Raymond Prentice; her mother, Geraldine Frey; and her grandfather, John Henry Frey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Service at L.A. Muhleisen Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, Louisiana on Saturday, January 10, 2026. Visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local SPCA in her memory.

Celesta Frey Prentice will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
