Sharon Viola Robinson was born to the late Roland and Elsie Robinson January 7, 1953. On Saturday December 28, 2024 the lord dispatched his Angels to watch over all Sharon come to love as he gently whisked her away from, the labors to external rest.
Sharon affectionately known as "Freckles" received her education in the Chester Upland school systems. She graduated from Chester High School in 1970. She was employed by Mt Pleasant Nursery School then to Village Charter School as a Para Professional. She received her Certification by the State of Pennsylvania in Math and Reading. She was the assistant Teacher Aid to Mr. Curtis Fisher who was blind. She worked with him until 2008 and later worked with him at Delaware County Community College.
Sharon was a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. She was baptized at a young age by her cousin and founder of Mt Pleasant Rev. Dency Richardson. She was a member of the Sr. Usher Board, Care Givers Ministry, Wednesday noon Bible Study, Jr Usher Advisor, Chester Usher Vicinity and former Vice President of the Ala Post #300, Welling Women Ministries.
Sharon enjoyed taking in children and attending their activities. She was the neighborhood "Den Mom" who gave a place to feel loved. The house was always full. She loved to cook and feed anyone who was hungry. Sharon loved going on bus trips to wherever. She loved baseball, basketball, bowling, football, concerts, track and field and being a Co-Pilot to whoever was driving.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Roland and Elsie Robinson, son Robert "Lil Bob" Robinson, brother Larry "Hoe" Robinson, Uncles Elwood "Bunky" Robinson and Charles Bost, Aunts Louise Robinson and Nancy Ward, Niece Kamilah "Newty" Robinson and cousin Barry Robinson.
Sharon wonderful memories will be cherished by two daughters Tamika Robinson and Michelle Boatswain (Kevin), three sisters Wendy Robinson of Sharon Hill.
Louise Johnson and Norma Ford of Chester. Two brothers Roland Robinson Jr. of Collingdale and Michael Yarbray (Teensy) of Chester. Three grandchildren Laneir Robinson (LaQueya) of Philadelphia, Racquel Robinson and Harold Best of Delaware. Special Niece/Nephew Kena Ford and Keith Robinson. Special friend and care giver Wayne Alexander. Also, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the Mt. Pleasant Church family.
Special Thanks to Rev. Etta Baldwin and family, Deacon Donald and Rev. Gloria Voltz and family. Mr. Curtis Fisher and family, Mom Ruth, drivers of the church van and the Bost Family "Boss Chicks".
