Sharon L. Rudow, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully on
September 17, 2025, at the age of 77, in Oswego, Illinois. Born on September 9, 1948,
in Morris, Illinois, she was the cherished daughter of the late John and Wilma Rudow.
Sharon's warmth and nurturing spirit were evident from a young age, traits that would
define her throughout her life.

A proud graduate of Larkin High School in 1966, Sharon carried the lessons of her
youth with her as she embarked on a career that would span several decades. She
dedicated many years to Jewel Foods in Batavia, IL, where she was known for her
unwavering work ethic and kind-hearted nature. Later, she continued to touch lives
during her 15-year tenure with Richardson Electronics, where her colleagues became a
second family.

Family was the cornerstone of Sharon's life. She was a devoted mother to her son and
reveled in the joy of being a grandmother. Her love knew no bounds, and her guidance
was a guiding light in their lives. Sharon also shared a special bond with her siblings
with whom she shared countless cherished memories.

Sharon's interests and hobbies were a reflection of her loving and selfless character.
She had a passion for playing bingo, which was more than a game to her; it was a way
to connect with friends and share laughter. Her love for animals was profound. Perhaps
one of Sharon's most impactful roles was as a volunteer at Anderson Animal Shelter.
She helped numerous animals by showing them love, support, patience and helping
them feel secure. She often attended adoption events, donated to help the animals at
the shelter and advocated for animal rights. She became a sanctuary and safe haven
for those animals who needed it most, leaving behind a legacy of generosity that
continues to resonate with all those who were lucky enough to be a part of her life.

Sharon will be remembered as the epitome of kindness, always putting others before
herself. Her generosity knew no limits, and her ability to love unconditionally was her
greatest gift to the world. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, a lesson in
selflessness, and a memory that will be treasured by all who knew her.

As we bid farewell to Sharon L. Rudow, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and love.
Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, and her memory will be held in our hearts

forever. Sharon's journey on earth may have ended, but her impact is everlasting. She
was truly one of a kind, and her absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and all
who were touched by her extraordinary life.

She is survived by her son, Gary (Louise) Rudow of Plano, IL; brother, Richard
(Elizabeth) Rudow of Aurora, IL; sister-in-law Chris Rudow of Wilmington, NC;
grandchildren, Jordan, Logan, Jesalyn, and Nolan; nieces Amy, Heather and Jessica;
nephews, John, Richard, Ron, Keven, and Jeramy; and many cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Wilma (Gill) Rudow; sister, Helen
Rudow; brother, Terry Rudow; nephew, Ben Rudow.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial gathering on Saturday,
September 27 from 12:00-4:00 p.m. at Bauman Family Funeral Home 5600 US Route
