Sharon L. Ruppel (nee Haar), 84, was called home to heaven on February 5, 2026, at 1:15 AM surrounded by her loving family.
Viewing will be on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church followed by funeral service at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary. The church is located at the intersection of Salem Avenue and Birney Street in Mount Washington. Interment will be at Spring Grove Cemetery immediately following.
Sharon was born on September 21, 1941, in Saginaw, Michigan to Henry and Nadala (Tillie) Haar. She married her one and only true love, Robert O. Ruppel, on June 8, 1963 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Saginaw, Michigan.
She loved cooking, baking, gardening, floral arranging and making her house a home. She also enjoyed serving as a volunteer at her church.
Sharon was a member of several Lutheran churches in various mid-western states with the most recent at Zion Lutheran for the last 25 years. At Zion Lutheran, she was a member of the Ladies Guild that provided many services and community outreach for the church throughout the year.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Robert O. Ruppel; her four sons, Robert Jr. of Charleston, SC (Susan), Ronald of San Antonio, TX (Susana), Randall of Amelia, OH and Rick of Loveland, OH. Four granddaughters; Alexis Ruppel, Riley Ruppel, Melanie Ruppel and Cameron Ruppel. Three grandsons; Robert Ruppel III, Quinn Ruppel and Collin Ruppel.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Mercy Hospital Anderson for the dedicated and careful attention they provided our mom. Additionally, a sincere and special thank you to Hospice of Cincinnati East for the specialized care they provided our mom in her final hours.
Pallbearers will be Robert Ruppel, Jr, Ronald Ruppel, Randall Ruppel, Rick Ruppel, Quinn Ruppel and Collin Ruppel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to Zion Lutheran Church or an animal foundation of choice as mom loved animals.
