Sharon Louise Schroeder, age 79 of Hutchinson, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, in Apple Valley.

Sharon was born December 2, 1945, in Hutchinson. She was the daughter of Hillerd H. and Helen (Dietel) Lepel. Sharon was a 1963 graduate of Hutchinson High School.

Sharon was united in marriage to Jule Schroeder on October 9, 1965, at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. With Jule being in the U.S. Navy, they lived in Millington, TN, Willow Grove, PA, Alameda, CA, and Pearl River, LA. While in Louisiana, Sharon was employed with the U.S. Civil Service. Following Jule's retirement from the Navy in 1985, they moved back to Hutchinson. Sharon later was employed at Burns Manor Nursing Home, Hutchinson Technology, and 3M. She was a long-time member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Sharon enjoyed reading, playing Scrabble and Bingo, travelling, and spending winters at their home in Desert Hot Springs, CA.

Sharon is survived by her two sons, Chris (Lisa) of Apple Valley and John (Cindy) of Owatonna; grandchildren, Juelle Schroeder of Albuquerque, NM, Analise (Ben) Gaffaney of Apple Valley, Lynette (Nick) Horns of Minnetonka, Colin Raichle of Hopkins; great-grandchildren, Jaiden Schroeder and Meta Horns; twin sister, Karen (Gene) Gruett of Hutchinson; aunt, Mary (Roland) Ebent of Hutchinson; also nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jule in 2024.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery. Arrangements are with Michaelson Funeral Home of Owatonna. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
