Sharon Sue Schultz, a cherished matriarch and beacon of love, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, in
Belleville, Michigan, at the age of 77. Born on August 11, 1948, in Indiana, Sharon lived a life marked by devotion to her family, a passion for the simple joys of life, and a steadfast spirit.
The daughter of the late Arvel and Evelyn Ramsey, Sharon grew up in a household that valued togetherness and the warmth of family ties. Her siblings, Richard (Diana) Ramsey, Lacey (Tess) Ramsey, Kathy (Bill) Christensen, Robert (Cindy) Ramsey, Russell (Jennifer) Ramsey, Pee-wee Ramsey, and Cindy Sanders, will remember her as a loving and strong-willed sister who enriched their lives with her presence.
In April of 1968, Sharon married her beloved husband, David Schultz, who preceded her in death in 2022. Their enduring love blossomed into a family of their own, welcoming children Neil (Caryn) Schultz, Korissa Conway, Suzelle Nordstrom, and Aaron (Tiffany) Schultz. Sharon's heart and home were always full, as she found her greatest joy in the laughter and stories shared with her children.
As a grandmother and great-grandmother, Sharon's legacy continued to grow. She took immense pride in her grandchildren, Christin, Laurin, Allison, David, Stephanie, Jessica, Erica, John, Gregory, Elizabeth, and Alexander Conway, and her great-grandchildren, Dalton, Jaiden, Noah, Phoebe, Nevaeh, Sutton, Lucy, Dakota, Cole, Haiden, and Serenity, with one more on the way. Each child was a precious gem in the treasure trove of her heart.
Sharon's love for her family was paralleled by her love of crocheting, a craft through which she expressed her creativity and care. Her hands, always busy, created countless keepsakes that her loved ones will cherish forever. Sharon also found solace in her garden, where she cultivated a vibrant array of flowers and vegetables. Her butterfly plants, in particular, attracted not only the delicate creatures for which they were named but also the admiration of friends and neighbors.
A true homebody, Sharon cherished the comfort of her own space, where she was the queen of her realm. She was known for her stubborn streak, a testament to her strong character and the determination with which she approached life. Sharon's preferences were clear, and she had a particular fondness for her TV shows and movies. Her favorites were old war movies, which she watched with a reverence for the past and a passion for storytelling.
In earlier years, when she was able, Sharon enjoyed attending church, a practice that nourished her spirit and connected her with a community of faith. Her presence in the pews was a source of comfort to those who knew her and shared in her journey of belief.
Sharon Sue Schultz will be deeply missed by her family, who take solace in the knowledge that her spirit lives on in the love she shared, the beauty she cultivated, and the memories she leaves behind. Her laughter, wisdom, and indomitable spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy of love that will endure through generations.
