Sharon Stultz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hall Funeral Home - Purcellville from Jan. 12 to Jan. 13, 2026.
Sharon Ann Stultz, age 88, of Ashburn, Virginia died peacefully surrounded
by the love of her family after a long and courageous battle against
Alzheimer's on January 7, 2026.
Sharon was born in 1937 to Charles and Loretta Girt and grew up primarily
in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She graduated from Central Catholic High School
in Fort Wayne. Sharon was a wonderful wife and mother. She successfully
raised four children before returning to the work force. Sharon was
extremely proud of her final career in the service of the Central Intelligence
Agency. She retired from the CIA in 1998 and was able to enjoy several
years with C.J. at their house on the Rappahannock River in the Northern
Neck, hosting family and friends. She was an avid reader, loved to garden
and spend time with her best friend, her beloved dog Kodi. She had a
razor-sharp wit that kept everyone laughing. Sharon is deeply loved by her
family and will be greatly missed.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, C.J. Stultz, her
son, Michael J. Stultz and her sister Kathi Keefer. She is survived by her
daughters, Mary McIntosh (Shepherdstown, WV and her husband Larry),
Sarah Ammann (Purcellville, VA and her husband Larry), Amy Windle
(Round Hill, VA and her husband Brian) and former daughter-in-law
Simone Vincent (Maple Valley, WA). Also known as Ranny, Gran, and
Gram, she leaves behind an amazing legacy of ten grandchildren: John
(and wife Jenn), Cameron, Jacob (and wife Rebecca), Sydney (and
husband Brett), Eli, Grant, Clayton, Sierra, Madi and Abbey. In addition,
she was blessed with seven great grandchildren.
Sharon will have a graveside service and celebration of life gathering in
May 2026 to honor her birthday, life and legacy in the warmth and beauty of
spring. Family and friends are welcome and will be sent more details
directly in the coming months. Donations to the Alzheimer's Association
(https://donorservices.alz.org) would be greatly appreciated.
