Sharon Denise Walsh,70, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones  on January 10, 2024, in Guyton.

Born on October 17, 1953 in New York to the late Bernard and Doris Polk. Sharon was raised in Port Wentworth, Ga. She moved to Costa Mesa, California where she raised four children and  began her professional career at Safeco Insurance where she worked with many great people. Her dedication and hard work led to a successful journey within the company. After many years of service, she transitioned to Sunwest Bank, where she worked for six years before retiring to Guyton, Ga.

Sharon's warm and compassionate nature extended far beyond her professional life. She touched the lives of countless individuals with her acts of kindness. Her ability to spread love and care was immeasurable.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Brenda Gale Polk, and a son Chris Lundergan.  

In addition to her remarkable career achievements, Sharon cherished her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband James Walsh. Together they built a strong foundation of love and support for their children: Billy Lundergan (Patricia), Joey Lundergan (Susana), and Megan Walsh (James). Sharon's nurturing spirit continued to shine through as she adored her grandchildren: William Lundergan, Sawyer Lundergan, Hannah Lundergan, Adeline Lundergan, William Martin, and Kathleen Martin.

Sharon's family passed that of her immediate family. She had deep connections with her sisters: Linda Graham, Diane Jones, Janet Fields, Tammy Crowder; her brother Brian Polk; and numerous extended family members including In-Laws: Laura Jones, Ed Walsh, Bill Walsh, Ken Walsh, and Pete Walsh. Each of them held a special place in Sharon's heart.

To honor Sharon's memory a memorial service will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 11:00AM at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home Chapel, a visitation will be held at 10:00AM until service time.
