Sharon Walsworth Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mission Park Funeral Chapels Cherry Ridge on Sep. 16, 2023.
Sharon Elizabeth Walsworth, known to her loved ones as Sharon, or Gram, peacefully passed away on September 10, 2023, at the age of 81 in Richardson, TX. Born on June 4, 1942, in Dallas, TX, Sharon was the daughter of Margaret and Robert Hill.
Sharon was a woman of great warmth and kindness. She had a natural inclination to help others and was often found making meals, writing notes, and offering her support. Sharon's love extended to her friends, neighbors, and her church community. She dedicated many years to Bible Study Fellowship (BSF), where she served as a leader, the Children's Supervisor, and later as the Area Children's Coordinator. Sharon's love for her friends and family ran deep, and she always sought to love and encourage others, even during her own difficult times.
Sharon is survived by her son, Tim Walsworth, and daughter-in-law Maria Doucette, her daughter Jennifer Farlow and son-in-law Matt Farlow, as well as her beloved grandchildren Ellie, Chloe, and Emma Kate Farlow, Harrison Walsworth, and Vivien Doucette. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Robert Hill, her daughter Kelli Walsworth, and her loving husband of 57 years, David Walsworth.
After completing her Bachelor's degree in Education at Baylor University, Sharon embarked on a fulfilling career as a teacher. She took a break to be a stay-at-home mom and homemaker for 20 years, but later returned to the classroom at San Antonio Christian Schools. There, she taught both Kindergarten and 2nd grade, driven by her desire to support her own children's college education.
Sharon found solace and strength in her faith. She worshipped at First Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX.
A memorial service to celebrate Sharon's life will be held at First Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX, on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 10 AM. Following the service, the family will be available to receive visitors. Private Interment will be for family at the Mission Burial Park North.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bible Study Fellowship or First Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX.
