Sharon Kay, 77 years old, of Midland, Texas, passed way on Thursday, January 30th in Midland.
Visitations and viewing will be on Monday, February 3rd, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
Sharon Kay was born on March 14, 1947 to Frances Watson and Robert Lee Carpenter in Modesto, California. She was raised with 4 siblings-Joyce Harris, Pamela Stockingen, Janice Watson, and Author Watson Jr.
She was first married to Jim Webb, with whom she had three children: Tammy Lynn Nye, Shonda Dolloff, and Jimmy Webb. Following this, she married Jim Owen, though they did not have any children together. On April 7, 2007, she married Leslie H. Weis Jr. of Midland, Texas, through which she gained three stepchildren: Stacy Brian Weis, Lance Ryan Weis, and Kamye La Nell Smith. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to being a homemaker and nurturing her family within a loving Christian environment.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Carpenter; mother, Frances Watson; stepfather, Author Watson Sr.; brother, Author Watson Jr.; and daughter, Shonda Dolloff.
Sharon Kay is survived by her husband, Leslie Homer Weis Jr.; children, Tammy and husband, Eldon Nye, Jimmy Webb and wife, Mandy, Stacy Brian Weis and wife, Leany, Lance Ryan Weis and wife, Sylvia, Kamye La Nell Smith and husband, Darryl. She was blessed with seventeen grandchildren, Tara Kistler, Michael Dolloff, Brianna Schulze, Wyatt Kody, Brendan Webb, Joshua Weis, Kristen Weis, Darrinesha Shaw, Denasia Smith, Heather Smith-Cox, Cora Smith, Bryson Smith, Brooklyn Smith, Sierra Weis, Prinz Lean Weis, Leslie H. Weis, III, and Leroy Weis; great grandchildren, Vivianne, Jackson, Reagan and Presley. Braylin, Nizic, Ezekiel, Zayden.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Michael Dolloff, Joshua Weis, Wyatt Kody, Bryson Smith, Brendan Webb, Simba Falenofoa, Spencer Cox and Leslie H. Weis. III..
