Family and friends will gather at 11:00 a.m. on Friday morning, October 17, 2025, at the Old Hebron Cemetery to celebrate the life of Sharon Marie Wofford. The Reverend Micah Rutland will officiate. Mrs. Wofford, age 77, entered into the eternal rest of her Lord on Wednesday evening, October 15, 2025, at the Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello. Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Mrs. Wofford will be carried to her final resting place by those honored to serve as pallbearers, including Weston Breazeale, Joseph Hopstein, III, Dakota Evans, Jackson Hopstein, Eli Shawash, and Patrick Asis.
Sharon Marie Wofford was born on February 23, 1948, to Elza Lee and Agnes Marie Dickerson Daughdrill. A lifelong resident of Jefferson Davis County, she was a graduate of Prentiss High School, where she was active in the Future Farmers of America (FFA). Sharon was a hard worker all her life and was Co-owner of several local businesses, including DW Wholesale Tires, Breazeale Brokerage, and Larry Breazeale Trucking.
Cherished by her family, Sharon was a beloved mother and mawmaw whose warmth and kindness created an enduring legacy of love. Sharon took pride in a beautifully manicured yard with flowers of all sorts, and her home was a sanctuary for her family; a place where gatherings were filled with laughter, joy, and the familiar comfort of family. Those who knew her will fondly remember the special moments spent around her table, featuring everyone’s favorites, including her crustless egg custard pie. Mrs. Wofford was a member of Old Hebron Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Larry Breazeale and Dan T. Wofford, her brother, Jimmy Ray Daughdrill, and her brother-in-law, Roger Hilton.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her sons, Joseph Harold Hopstein, Jr. (Cheri) of Hattiesburg, Chad Breazeale (Nita) of Prentiss; her brother, Jackie Daughdrill (Beverly) of New Hebron; her sisters, Donna Bellis (Terry) of Prentiss, Diane Hilton of Prentiss, Annette Abney (A.J.) of New Hebron, and Jennie Gamble of New Hebron; her grandchildren, Joseph Harold Hopstein, III, Tori Evans (Dakota), Jackson Hopstein, Weston Breazeale, Brooklyn Breazeale, Paisley Breazeale, Raegan Breazeale, Grayson Breazeale, and 5 great-grandchildren.
