Sharon Lee Wolfrom, age 71, of Post Falls, ID passed away peacefully at her home.

Born Sharon Lee Nelson to Dale Elmer Nelson and Ada Elizabeth (Betty) Green (Barnes; Nelson) in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, Sharon was the oldest of five children. As a U.S. Air-force military family, she moved frequently during her early childhood, living in Missouri, Colorado, New York, Minnesota and the Philippines. At the age of 12, the family relocated to Burlington County, New Jersey, where Sharon completed her education and would live on and off for the next twenty plus years.

Upon graduating from Rancocas Valley Regional High School in 1971, Sharon attended Barbizon Modeling School and modeled for three years, doing catalog, magazine and department store modeling, before moving to the Florida Keys, where she resided for four years before returning to New Jersey.

In 1987 Sharon moved to Cheyenne, WY where she worked at Montgomery Wards and Corral West until her move to Spokane, WA in 1990 where she focused on being a homemaker for her family. From 1997-2016, she was a dedicated employee for the Head Start program in the west central area of Spokane. A few years after retirement, Sharon relocated to Post Falls, ID where she would spend her final years.

Sharon was a skilled artist (freehand drawing, painting) along with being a lifelong arts and crafts enthusiast. From weaving to crafting handmade stamps to card making to chalkboard art, she loved it all. No project was too big or too small. She was a champion bowler and skiing enthusiast in her twenties. A social butterfly at heart, Sharon enjoyed good company, social gatherings and camping with friends. She loved cooking and collecting recipes. Most importantly, she loved to laugh, often texting family and friends silly jokes that she would find. She perfectly encapsulated the spirit of live, laugh, love. Though her proudest accomplishment in life was her children and grandchildren. Sharon had one daughter with first husband, Kenneth William Wolfrom Jr, and two sons and one step daughter with her late partner, Joseph John Wankmueller III .

Despite life’s hardships, she embraced what came her way. She stood by the phrase, ‘when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Sharon is survived by her three children, Lindsey Wolfrom Knoll (Jeremy) of Hayden, ID, Zach Wolfrom (Tiffany) of Humble, TX, and Joseph Wankmueller IV (Elizabeth) of Seymour, TX, her nine grandchildren, Kaulin Knoll, Kensey Knoll, Konner Knoll, Keaton Knoll, Derek Wolfrom, Sydney Wolfrom, Angie Wolfrom, Adley Wankmueller and Hudson Wankmueller, along with her mother, Ada Elizabeth (Betty) Green of Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, her sisters, Cathy Huf and Dayle Petrillo (Tony) of Mt. Holly, NJ, her brothers, Chris Nelson (Shirley) of Howell, NJ, Tony Nelson of Welsford, New Brunswick, Canada, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Elmer Nelson, step father Moses Green, step daughter, Roxanne Rose Wankmueller and partner Joseph Wankmueller III.

A Celebration of Life for Sharon will be held at a later date in Mt. Holly, NJ.
