Sharron Patricia Barnes

Sharron "Sherrie" Patricia Barnes, 84, of Prescott Valley sadly left us on April 16, 2024. In 1960, she was selected as the only civilian member of the United States Parachute team where she attended the world parachute meet in Sophia, Bulgaria. She was an avid reader and you could always count on her having a Janet Evanovich novel in her purse or on her nightstand. She loved arts & crafts & creating things with her hands.
In 1987, she joined the Ladies' Oriental Shrine of North America, Sphinx Court, #65. Phoenix, AZ. In 1995, she was named High Priestess.
She is preceded in death by parents, Gottfried and Jessie Stoecker and her brothers, Brian and Jeffrey Stoecker.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Cherylee and Larry Perry; daughter and son in law Denise and Bo Todd; daughter and son in law, Debbie and Darin Douglass; daughter and son in law Christine and Shawn Yohn; Son, Westin Burns; Grandchildren, Jeremy Perry, Jami Perry, Stephan Douglass, Devin Douglass, Nichole Yohn, Marisa Yohn and Gabrielle Yohn; great grandchildren, Mitchell Perry, Jessie Armstrong and Jack Douglass.
At the request of Sharron, the family will not be having a service or memorial. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help find a cure for Glioblastoma in honor of her beloved son in law Larry Wayne Perry. Donations can be made to Gray Matters Foundation or Support Barrow Brain Tumor Center.
