Shary Weisman Obituary

Passed away on February 13, 2025, at Marley Neck Health & Rehabilitation in Glen Burnie, MD.
Shary was born in Washington, DC on July 15, 1953, the oldest daughter of Herbert and Bernice Bertha (Epstein) Cohen. Shary graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, MD, in 1971. She then attended Montgomery College in Rockville, MD, graduating with an Associate of Arts degree, and continued her studies at the University of Maryland College Park, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. In her later years, Shary attended Rutgers University, becoming a master gardener.
Shary started working as a graphic artist and then moved on to be a floral designer. With her sister, she also became a fused glass artist. In her later years, she took on her most important role, that of Bubbe to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Samuel Aaron Weisman (Jackie); grandchildren Michael Alan and Hannah Beth; and her sister, Phyllis M. Cohen.
A memorial service will be held at Lasting Tributes Cremation & Funeral Care on March 16, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a gathering at her sister's home.
Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
