Sharyn Lynne Buonpane

Sharyn Lynne, (nee Egley), 76 of Wayne, NJ, formerly of Paramus, NJ, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024. After graduating from Paramus High School, Sharyn attended William Paterson College where she earned her Bachelor and Masters degrees in Speech-Language Pathology. She worked for the Franklin Lakes Board of Education for thirty-six years providing speech-language services in the school district in addition to early intervention services for the ARC of Bergen County. She excelled in her career and genuinely loved working with her students.
Sharyn had an amazing sense of humor and shared it with those fortunate enough to be around her. She was intelligent, beautiful and fiercely independent. Sharyn was a voracious reader and talented artist who relished the fresh air, and enjoyed running, gardening, movies, watching football, and spending time at the beaches of Lavallette.
Sharyn was the cherished wife of fifty years to Louis, beloved mother to Shari, and adored grandmother to Julia. She was the dear sister of Richard Egley and his wife, Maureen. She is predeceased by her sisters, Alice Fransisco and Georgann Heckel.
Family will receive friends on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Paramus, NJ. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
