Shaun was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 4, 1955. Shortly after Shaun turned 2 years of age, the family moved to Ypsilanti. Shaun attended St. John the Baptist schools from the first through tenth grades and then went on to graduate from Ypsilanti High School in 1973.
Shaun’s younger years were spent swimming for Lakeview Swim Club swim team, ice skating, skiing with the high school ski club, and reading for enjoyment whenever she had the opportunity.
She attended Eastern Michigan University, and retired after thirty years employment with General Motors Hydramatic Division where she met her life-partner, Larry Clark.
Shaun enjoyed Michigan football and followed Tiger baseball closely.
When Shaun’s balance became compromised, she received a surprise three-wheeled bicycle from Larry and weather permitting, she would spend hours cycling and interacting with neighbors in her community.
Shaun is survived by Larry Clark, her life partner of 39 years, sisters Michelyn Gagnon Girard, Kathleen Bennett Adley and nieces and nephew.
She is pre-deceased by her parents William (Bill) and Evelyn Gagnon, sister Theresa (Teri) Ann Gagnon Stout, brother-in-law Gary Stout, nephew Blayne Stout, and her beloved pets.
