Shaun Brook Killion, 53, of Morganville, NJ, passed away at his home on November 22, 2025.
Born in Denver, Colorado to Melva Killion and the late Alvin Killion, Shaun spent his childhood in Denver and cherished time with his grandparents in Oklahoma. He later moved to Washington, D.C. to pursue his university studies, where his passion for fashion began to flourish. Shaun built a career in menswear, working with Brooks Brothers, Thomas Pink, and Men's Wearhouse before realizing his lifelong dream of opening his own store, Mr. Killion, in Montclair, NJ.
It was in Washington, D.C. that Shaun met his wife, Emily, more than 20 years ago. They married in Bermuda in 2015 and together created a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Shaun was endlessly creative, a self-taught carpenter whose handcrafted furniture reflected his artistry and care. He found joy in early morning walks along the beach, picnics at his favorite lake, and sharing his love of jazz, comedy, board games, sports-especially cheering for the Dallas Cowboys-and cooking, a passion that brought delight to family and friends alike.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Emily, their cherished French bulldog Maxmillion, and his mother, Melva. Shaun will also be remembered with love by his aunties Vina, Liena, Linda, and Melody with her husband John; and his cousins Khalid with his wife Tamesha, and Dee-Ann with her husband Robbie, along with their families. He will be remembered always for his kindness, creativity, and the joy he brought to those around him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Newbridge Church, 57 Kahdena Road, Morristown, NJ 07960, with a local reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shaun's memory to the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, an annual motorcycle charity event he eagerly anticipated each year. Shaun not only participated with joy, but also helped arrange for the local ride to stop at his shop, creating a welcoming space for fellow riders and friends. Contributions may also be made to the American Heart Association, or by planting a tree-honoring Shaun's love of the environment and his craft as a carpenter.
