Shaun Michael Morrell, a brilliant soul whose light touched everyone he met, passed on May 23rd, 2025, leaving behind a legacy as unique and vibrant as he was. He was born April 5, 1970, in Dallas, Texas to Gay Lee Abarr. Shaun had fond memories of his youth spent in Yukon and Wheatland, places that helped shape his adventurous and compassionate spirit.
He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and a skilled white hat hacker. His passion for timepieces made him a dedicated horologist, and his musical talent knew no bounds-there was not an instrument he couldn't play. An accomplished singer and songwriter, Shaun used his music to connect deeply with others and express his boundless creativity.
Shaun is preceded in passing by his beloved mother, Gay Lee Abarr, and his grandmother, Billie Haun.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Carraann Morrell; his children, Christopher Castor, Wesley Castor, Shaun Castor, Cherokee Burrough, and Holly Michelle Jones; two brothers, Brian Morrell Sr and Mark Morrell; and stepfather Andrew Abarr, along with a BUNCH of nieces, nephews and grandkids who brought him endless joy.
Guided by his personal motto- "Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am!"-Shaun lived a life of integrity, generosity, and purpose. His heart and soul shines brighter than any star, and his absence leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew him. His memory will forever be cherished.
