Shawn Farrar

Shawn Farrar, son of the late Samuel and Frances Farrar, was born May 8, 1965, in Newark, New Jersey. On January 10, 2023 the angels of God were sent to Earth to bring Shawn's soul from this world of pain and sorrow into eternal rest.
Shawn, also known as Skimo to most, was a care free spirit that loved music and having fun. Shawn was very dedicated to his family, to the point where if his phone was not working, he would ask a stranger to dial a family member's number just to say, "I'm alright." Shawn was an avid lover of Brooklyn so much that when he was a kid, he would run away there to be with family. Once he became an adult he moved to NY, obtained his CDL license, and drove the school bus. Shawn loved to draw graffiti. When he was given a pen, he would sit there and draw so many different letters. Shawn was very particular about his appearance even after becoming visually impaired. Shawn had an exceptional memory that he bragged about all the time.
Shawn leaves to cherish his memory, sister Lyvette Washington, bother-in -law Gary Washington, nephews, Jahlil Wright, and Gary Washington, niece Jakia Washington, aunt, Willie Ester Crudup, uncle, Robert Williams, a host of cousins, family members, and friends.
