Shawn “Dean” Hamp, 57, passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2024. He was born in Waukesha March 20, 1967 the son of Donald and Vivian Hamp. Shawn dedicated his life to service and family. He was proud to have retired from the United States Navy after 30 years of unwavering service. He had achieved the rank of Chief Aviation Boatswains Mate (H) Surface and Aviation Warfare. In his retirement Shawn enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching in awe as fighter jets flew over his home in Virginia. Some of Shawn’s fondest memories were taking his mom and dad fishing and catching a 20-pound striped bass and deer hunting with his nephew Michael.
Shawn will be deeply missed by his loving brothers Donald Jr. (Paula) Hamp and Michael (Sandy) Hamp, nieces and nephews Miranda Henderson, Michael Hamp, Jennifer Williams, and Katyrena Hamp. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends all who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Vivian Hamp and his cherished wife Donna.
A visitation will be held Saturday March 22, 2025 from 12:00 PM until the funeral service begins at 3:00 PM with Full Military Honors to follow all at Randle Dable Brisk Funeral Home 1110 S. Grand Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186. Following the services at the funeral home a luncheon and time for fellowship will be held at Retzer Nature Center S14 W28167 Madison St, Waukesha, WI 53188.
