Shawn Ryan Hanscomb

Presque Isle – Shawn Ryan Hanscomb, 56, passed away Saturday, March 02, 2024, at the Northern Lights Mercy Hospital in Portland. He was born in Limestone on May 08, 1967, the son of Claude and Almeda "Elaine" (Boulier) Hanscomb.
Shawn loved spending time with his family, reading (especially Stephen King), and listening to music. Spending time at the ocean is where he found peace. There wasn't an animal that Shawn didn't love. He enjoyed modern art with Edward Hopper being his favorite artist. Shawn had the most loving and compassionate heart, and he will be so missed for his gentle ways.
He was predeceased by his father Claude Hanscomb, his paternal grandparents Douglas and Helen (Paris) Hanscomb, his maternal grandparents Eugene and Lola (Clark), Boulier, his sister Candace Lee Hanscomb, and a son Ryan Hanscomb. He was also predeceased by his friends Andy and Kim Coffin and Julie Graves.
He is survived by his wife Shannon, his sons Steffan (Haleigh York) Hanscomb, Logan (Kerry Spooner) Harvath, and Ethan Kidd, his daughter Amanda (Michael) Chesser and his mother Elaine Hanscomb. Shawn also leaves behind his three grandchildren, Aidan and Riley Harvath, and Cameron Chesser.
Friends and family may call from 10 – 11 AM on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home in Presque Isle, where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM. A committal service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the Fairmount Cemetery.
