Shawn Holmes, 60, passed away on Wednesday, October 15th, 2025. Visitations will be held Friday, October 24th, 2025 from 10 am to 11 am and Celebration of Life Services will follow at 11 am at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Shawn Holmes born on August 30th, 1965, to Thelma Dawson and Leroy Holmes. He was a father first, loving, and caring family member and friend. He was a true cowboy at heart. He graduated from Wayland University with his business degree. He loved to sell and trade. He was a top salesman from Lack’s Furniture and also did the company’s commercials. He also sold cars for dealerships back in his day. He loved doing activities with his granddaughter. He enjoyed rides on the town and laughter.
Shawn is preceded in death by his mother Thelma Dawson, his father Leroy Holmes, and his sister Leanne White.
Shawn leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter Raven Holmes, his son Elvin Simeon, his sisters Margaret Moore, Bridget Robinson, Brenda Holmes, and Dee Robinson, his brothers Elroy Holmes, Otis Robinson, Robert Robinson, and Charles Robinson, his grandchild Jade Davis, and a host of other relatives and friends.
