Publish in a newspaper

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Cowan Cabron, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world on October 22, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on April 3, 1931, in Commerce, Georgia, Helen lived a life that was filled with love, warmth, and kindness. She developed wonderful relationships as a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Helen loved being part of her bridge clubs, where laughter, friendship, and friendly competition filled her days. Her spirit touched everyone she encountered, and she will be deeply missed by family and friends alike.
Helen is survived by her daughters: Susan Cowan, Ann Stone, and son-in-law, Johnnie Stone. She takes with her a legacy of love through her grandsons, Michael Stone, Mason Stone, wife Andrea Stone, and great-grandchildren Oliver and Amelia Stone. Helen's ability to bring joy and comfort to those around her was matched only by her unwavering devotion to her family.
Helen was preceded in death by her first husband William Hugh Cowan; her second husband, Edwin Cabron; beloved companion, Bob Fee; and her two sons, Stephen William Cowan and Michael Keith Cowan.
In honor of Helen's life and the love she so generously shared, a visitation will be held to celebrate her remarkable journey. The visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 5-7 PM at Sanders Funeral Home, 1420 Main Street, Lubbock, TX 79401.
As we remember Helen, let us carry forward her legacy of compassion, strength, and love. May her soul rest in peace and may we all strive to embody the spirit she so beautifully exemplified. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Helen's memory to Lubbock Meals on Wheels or the South Plains Food Bank.
