Barbara Jean Casteel

Barbara Jean Casteel, born on December 29, 1958, in Vernon, Texas, passed away on October 19, 2025, due to cancer. Barbara dedicated her life to her family and her work, serving as a receptionist at Goodwill Industries, where she made lasting connections with coworkers and the community.Among her many passions, Barbara cherished being surrounded by her loved ones. She took great joy in garage selling, always on the lookout for treasures and unique finds. A devoted mother and grandmother, she was proud of her sons Jonathan, Philip, and Nathanael and her cherished daughter-in-laws Melissa, Dana, and Courtney. Her legacy will live on through her grandchildren: Sierra, Johnathan, Allison, Alaina, and Brennan, who will forever remember her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering faith.Barbara was known for her heart for teaching children and sharing the message of Jesus. She believed in the importance of putting on the full armor of God and guiding those around her with love and grace. Her life was a testament to her faith, and she inspired many to embrace their faith in Christ.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Billy Casteel. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memorial service will be on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at Grace Community Fellowship, 111 W Ranch Ln, Weatherford, TX 76088, at 2:00 pm. Barbara was preceded in death by: Jasper Hall, Billie Hall, Kenny Aguirre, Raelyn Casteel
