Shawn Kimberly Johnson, 55, of Ottawa, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Rush Copley Medical Center in Chicago.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa, with Rev. Sherry Stevenson, of Crossbridge Community Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home.
Shawn was born on August 23, 1966 in Streator, to Larry and Karen (Kruger) Kimber. She was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School class of 1984. Shawn married Melvin Johnson on July 11, 1997 in Ottawa. She worked as a driver for NAPA for 14 years. Shawn enjoyed wood working, sewing, crafting, four wheeling, camping, hiking, softball, volleyball, horses, and puzzles.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin; her mother, Karen Cates of Morris; three children, Andrea (James) DeBolt of Wedron, Drew Johnson of Ottawa, and Blake Johnson of Ottawa; two grandchildren. Braxton and Brock DeBolt; two brothers, Rob Kimber of Yuma, AZ and Shane Kimber, her twin, of Tonica, IL; and a sister Kyla (Alex) Aguirre of Utica, IL.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Kimber; step father, Kyle Schramm; uncle, Bob Kruger; nephew, Pierce Provance; and her father and mother-in-law Doug and Billy Johnson.
