Shawn Kadlec of Ellendale, MN, was born In Austin, MN on January 9, 1984, to Terry and Elaine (LaVallie) Kadlec. He graduated from NRHEG High School, New Richland, MN, in 2002, and completed the driving course at Interstate Truck Driving School in St. Paul, MN, in 2012. He always dreamed of working for himself. In 2016, that ambition came true when he founded Kadlec Trucking. He also launched Kadlec Yard Service and Stump Grinding in 2024.
Among his numerous passions were fishing, camping, and the annual production of maple syrup. Shawn was a skilled carpenter and could fix just about anything. He was always up for a good time and loved hanging out with his friends, but his greatest passion and pride was his son, Asher.
Shawn will be greatly missed by his son, Asher Kadlec; mother, Elaine Howell; brother, Chris Kadlec, sister-in-law Courtnay Kadlec and nephew, Conner Kadlec; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Terrance Kadlec; and grandparents Bertha Kadlec; Gordon and Valeria LaVallie.
