Shawn Kelley Obituary
Shawn Kelley, age 72, passed away December 5, 2025 at the Iowa River Hospice here in Marshalltown.
Per his wishes, there will be no visitation or services. His wish to be cremated has been entrusted to the care of Mitchell Family Funeral Home.
Shawn was the son of Keith and Virginia (Gile) Kelley. He was born on September 12, 1953 on his dad’s birthday in Marshalltown.
Shawn received his education in the Marshalltown and Green Mountain school district, graduating from Green Mountain High School. He worked at Strand’s Bakery, Swift, Wolverine Plastics in Grinnell, and Marshalltown Trowel before retiring.
Shawn was creative; he enjoyed drawing and liked making his own greeting cards. He also loved movies and his cats.
Left to morn his loss is his sister, Kathleen Kelley-Hafen; brother-in-law, Keith Hafen; and his best friend and honorary brother, Bryan Thompson.
Shawn is preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Virginia Kelley.
