Shawn Delette Patterson, a soul deeply woven into the fabric of her loving family and cherished community, departed this earthly realm on October 13, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on July 4, 1970, in the vibrant city of Baton Rouge, Shawn radiated an unwavering spirit, guided by her profound love for God and life itself.
Her life was a testament to the beauty of simple pleasures; she was an avid reader, captivated by the written word, and found joy in the suspenseful narratives of crime shows that sharpened her mind. Yet, it was the immeasurable time spent with family and friends that filled her heart with true happiness, where laughter and love were abundant.
Shawn leaves behind her beloved children: Quyneshia Patterson, Chineshia Patterson, Kiar Patterson, and Trevair Patterson. They were not just her offspring but her pride and joy, reflections of the nurturing love she so freely bestowed upon them. The legacy of her maternal affection continues through her 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild, who will carry forth the warmth she shared, and whose lives she touched with her kindness and wisdom.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, Shawn is survived by her brothers and sisters, who share the bonds of kinship and cherished memories forged throughout their lives together. Her devoted companion, Davis Fair, stood by her side, offering love and companionship that enriched her days with comfort and affection.
Shawn's departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her—family, friends, and those blessed to encounter her genuine spirit. She will be remembered not only for the life she lived but for the love she shared, eternally cherished in the stories of those who loved her dearly. Though she has transitioned from this life, the legacy of her faith, kindness, and deep connections will endure, illuminating the path for those who remain.
