Shawn Smith

Shawn Smith was born on September 20, 1967 in Toledo, Ohio to Larry & Melba Ann Bass. She gained her wings on April 19, 2024. Shawn attended and graduated from Waite High School. She later obtained her bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Toledo, where she became proficient in the fluency of the German language. Soon after, Shawn began working as a banker with PNC Bank where she remained a dedicated employee for over 25 years. Shawn also served as a longtime faithful member of the choir and missionary board at Inspirational Missionary Baptist Church.
On September 30, 1995 she was married to James Smith. To this union they were blessed with a son (Devon Smith). Her warm, friendly demeanor made her a beloved jewel in her community and family. She was known for her compassionate, thoughtful, and kind nature.
Shawn was preceded in death by her loving husband James Smith, and parents Larry and Melba Ann Bass.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories; Devon Smith (son), Z'Kier & Elijah Smith (grandsons), Melanie Bass (sister), Laylah & Christian Jones (nieces), & Dean Mitchell (close friend), as well as a host of other loving family and friends.
