Shawn Weaver Srokowski

Porter Corners-Shawn Weaver Srokowski, age 43, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021. He was born on January 22, 1978 in Gloversville, NY, the son of Kimberly Weaver and the late Carl Srokowski. Shawn was a banquet assistant for the Holiday Inn for many years. Shawn loved football; his favorite team was the New England Patriots. He enjoyed fishing, skiing, and going to concerts, music moved his soul, and his entire body wasn’t far behind when a good song was being played. Shawn was a great chess player as well, there wasn’t many people that could beat him in a good game of chess. He was kind, witty, and smart, he loved children, but his joy and strength was time spent with his son, Sean who was the center of his life. Shawn had a wonderful positive attitude toward life and always lived life to its fullest. Shawn is survived by his mother, Kimberly Weaver; son, Sean Ferguson; brother, Chad Weaver; Godmother, Kim Brown, and many friends who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his grandparents. A funeral service will be held at 6 pm on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY. Family and friends may call from 4 pm to 6 pm prior to the service. Due to the ongoing public health concerns of COVID-19 social distancing as well as mandatory wearing of a face mask is required.
