Shawna Marie Jachetti

Shawna Marie Jachetti (née Fox, formerly Antu), age 55, of Bakersfield, CA, left her earthly body on October 6, 2025.

Shawna was born on May 13, 1970, in La Mirada to Judith Ann Fox. She graduated from Valley Christian High School in 1988 and went on to work for the Kern County Sheriff's Department.

Shawna was first married to Mark Antu, and together they had two children. In 2006, she married David Jachetti, with whom she shared a deep affection. She is survived by her children, four stepchildren, five grandchildren, and many others who loved her dearly.

She will be remembered for the beautiful way she filled the world with joy-always singing with a smile on her face. Her love for cooking brought people together, as she poured warmth and care into every meal she prepared. Shawna cherished moments in the sunshine and lived for long, relaxing days by the pool. Her Christian faith was a guiding light in her life, evident in her kindness, strength, and unwavering compassion. Above all, Shawna had a rare gift for bringing happiness to others-through her laughter, her friendliness, and her ability to make everyone feel loved.

A funeral will be held on October 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Valley Baptist Church on Fruitvale Avenue in Bakersfield, CA. A reception will follow.
