Shawna Lee Maier

Shawna Lee Maier, 66, a resident of Grove, Oklahoma formerly of Miami passed away at Mercy Health System in Joplin, Missouri on Sunday, January 28, 2024. She and her twin brother David were born on May 27, 1957, in Lawrence, Kansas to Gene Wilbur and Lois Arvelle (Barnes) Haynes. After graduating High School, she attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield where she met the love of her life Bob Maier. Shawna and Bob later settled with the family in Miami where they where member of the church her father was the minister at Riverside Baptist Church in Miami. Shawna was a very tender giving person and never missed a church service. She gave the best hugs, family and friends coined them a "Shawna Hug". Mrs. Maier was preceded in passing by her parents, Gene and Lois Haynes, her husband Bob Maier, and her brother Paul Haynes.
Surviving is her son Robert Maier of Langley, Oklahoma, and her twin brother David Haynes of Grove.
Graveside services for Shawna are 10:00 AM on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Glen Abbey Memorial Garden in Miami with Reverend Marty Hughes officiating. Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters funeral Home and Cremation service in Miami.
