Shawnee Robertson Franklin

Shawnee Robertson Franklin, age 53, of Tuscaloosa, AL, passed away on April 17, 2025 at Hospice of West Alabama. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Randy Beard officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30- 11:00 AM at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel.
She is preceded in death by Claude Utley, Hazel Utley, James "Jim" Robertson, Evelyn Pape, Dennis R. Robertson, Chelsi Rae Roberts, Edward Franklin, Lockie Mae Franklin, and Ricky Utley.
She is survived by her husband, James Timothy "Tim" Franklin; daughter, Timberlee "Saige" Franklin; son, James "Cayson" Franklin; brother, Dennis "Robby" Robertson Jr. (Candace); and mother, Charlotte Utley Robertson.
Shawnee Franklin left this earth on Thursday, April 17th, but will never leave our hearts and minds. She was the person whose smile could light up any room and whose laughter and personality were contagious. Everyone who met her loved her and she loved them. Her time on this earth was a blessing to us all, and even on her hardest day, she still had that sweet smile. She always loved being with family and doing her crafts, shopping, and just being on the go. Shawnee especially loved holidays, traveling, and going to the beach and being darker than anyone there. She was the life of the party to say the least and was a devoted wife and mom to say the most. Shawnee will forever be missed but not forgotten, and we are jealous of the angels today because they get to have her and we don't. However, until we meet again, we all know that Shawnee will be sipping on a Cayman Jack, eating sushi by the water, soaking up the sun, and saving us a seat until God calls us all home.
Pallbearers are Tate Robertson, Kam Battles, Austin Battles, Diego Juarez, and John Garrison.
Honorary pallbearers are nursing staff and doctors and UAB Hospital, Northport DCH ICU, Hospice of West Alabama, and Cyndee Islam.
