Shaylyn Sims Obituary
At an early age she developed a love for basketball and braiding hair. She was truly talented and had a smile that could light up any room! She attended Metropolitan Baptist Church, where she accepted Christ as her Lord & Savior, at an early age. She ushered, attended Bible Study, Camp Ascension, and attended several youth programs. She later attended Christ Temple North. Shaylyn departed this life on September 17, 2022. She was proceeded in death by her paternal Grandmother Melverrene Sims and her nephew Barry Sims III. She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother Ursala Sims (Kansas City, MO); her father Barry Sims (Kansas City, MO); her maternal Grandmother Diana Gray (Marion Gray Sr.); her siblings; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
