Shea Brady Backmann

Shea Brady Backmann passed away on Monday January 15th, 2024 at the age of 37 in his home in Riverside. He resided in Jacksonville, Florida all of his life. Shea was recently enrolled in Florida State College of Jacksonville (FSCJ) to further his education. He was a genuine lover of films and had an infinite knowledge about them, specifically horror films. He loved Danzig, video games, comics, anime/manga, cooking, cats and he was a talented artist. He had a witty humor and laugh that was contagious. Shea could frequently be found browsing books at Chamblin Bookmine or the public library, soaking up an array of knowledge and being a part of the many clubs there. Shea was an avid bicyclist and he adored riding and working on his beloved bike. Shea was most known for his deep fandom of Star Wars, Star Trek, and the Back to the Future trilogy. A beautiful warm and kindhearted soul, he was always ready and willing to help others - no matter who they were or what walk of life they came from. Shea leaves behind his dad, James Backmann (69), his sister, Sasha Strzesak (33) and niece, Aria Mirzai (7). He was loved by so many and found acceptance, solace, and love in his community of online friends and groups from all around the US. He is now resting peacefully with the Lord, who he truly believed in above all, at Evergreen Cemetery.
