Sheila-Ann Gaia Allen passed away in her home on November 26, 2024, she was 76.
Sheila was born on November 1, 1948 in the Bronx to Daniel and Catherine (Connor) Sullivan, she was the youngest of 5. Throughout her life, she took pride in being the best wife, mother, aunt, sister, daughter, nana, and friend. She found solace in being around her family and life long friends. She enjoyed vacationing to her favorite destinations including Seaside Park and Virgina Beach.
Sheila's legacy, undoubtedly to those who knew her, will be her unwavering love for her husband Charlie. Since their marriage in 1969, their 55 year love story is one many found inspirational. Their favorite things to do ranged from going on cruises and visiting new cities, to Tuesday afternoon movie dates, religiously watching game and competition TV shows, and watching their favorite, General Hospital.
She is predeceased by her brothers James and Jeremiah (Eileen), her sister Catherine, her nephews Billy, Jerry, John, and her niece Theresa Mary. Sheila is survived by her husband Charles; her son Keith (Tricia) and her daughter Jeannine Allen. She is also survived by her sister Maureen (George) Hotter. Her sister in laws; Charlean Allen and Holly Hillman.
Sheila leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Emily Thompson, Elizabeth, Keith Jr, and Kate Allen. They will miss playing cards and board games with her, completing puzzles, and most of all hearing their Nana say "I love you to the moon and back." She also leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews with whom she shared a special bond, Danny, Eileen, Maureen, Jimmy, Kitty, Buddy, George, Rich, Colleen, Kevin, Scott, Carter and Karen, where her endless heart reminders will be sorely missed.
A service to honor Sheila's life will be held on December 4, 2024 at Applebee McPhillips Funeral Home Inc., from 4-7pm, 130 Highland Ave Middletown NY, 10940, for anyone whom wishes to attend and pay their respects.
