Sheila Dianne Davis Fields 62 of Marion NC went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 9th, 2025. She was born August 28th, 1962 at the Norfolk Naval Base to the late Charles Patrick Davis and Betty Sheehan Davis.

Sheila dedicated 27 years to McDowell County Head Start where she loved teaching McDowell’s early learners. She retired in 2023-wishing her vision would allow her to return to work.

Sheila was a member of Parkers Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where she loved helping and watching the Christmas plays and watching the babies grow with and sing to the Lord.

Sheila loved her Sister-in-love Elizabeth, Debbie, and Becky and was thankful for the love they gave her over the years.

Sheila was a devoted and loving wife for 37 years to Robert Fields. She was a wonderful mother to Hannah Fields and Sarah Taylor, and the best supportive, amazing and loving Nana to Brantley Taylor, Payton Taylor, and Charleigh Laughter. She always said that as much as she loved watching the Atlanta Braves, but her favorite player were her grand babies!

Sheila was one of the first to hold her grand-babies, but she was the first to hold Harper and Zion who never got to meet us on this earth.

Those left to cherish her memory are Husband Robert Fields, daughters Hannah and Sarah (Seth), grandchildren Brantley Taylor, Payton Taylor, Charleigh Laughter. Brothers Ricky, Ronnie and James Davis, Sisters Pam Hollifield (Marvin) and Tammy Sluder (Robert), and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at the Parkers Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service at the church.
