I had the pleasure of being Sheila´s next door neighbor in Plymouth for the last three years. Despite a nearly 40 year age difference, we instantly became friends. I could always count on a warm hug and nice conversation.
Last winter I went through a really dark period in my life, and the one person who was always there for me....was Sheila. She checked on me every single day and more so when I got a little too quiet. I will always treasure the times we sat at my table or on her couch, and she would just listen to me, without judgment or criticism. I always felt like I could tell her anything.
I recently moved from the apartment, and I am so grateful that my last memory with her was a couple months ago, she came over to see my new home and she got to see my happy ending. My happiness truly meant something to her. I will never forget everytime I said I love you, she would always reply, "I love you more Allison."
Her service this morning was beautiful, and my takeaway is that she had so much love for family, friends, and strangers....and yet still had more leftover. I will think of her often and happily. Sheila, you still have a seat at my wedding. Love you.

Dear sweet Sheila, I will miss you terribly. Seeing your smiling face at CAL. Seeing you at Church and touching hands as we passed each other after communion. May you rest in peace as you enter your eternal life. I will think of you often and remember you as a very special person.
