Sheila Hatler Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 10, 2025.
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Sheila Hatler on Friday, February 28, 2025. Sheila was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all.
Sheila was born in Huron, South Dakota to Albert and Neoma 'Babe' (Olsen) Harstad. She grew up in Minneapolis. Sheila married Curtis Hatler in 1975 and their only child, Carrie, came along a few years later. From then on, the three of them faced life's happiness and challenges together.
Always a creative spirit with many talents, Sheila could usually be found knitting exquisite blankets, shawls, and scarves or creating beautiful quilts that will be cherished by her family for years to come. She worked at the Anoka County Library in several positions for decades and formed many lasting friendships there.
Sheila's wishes were for no formal memorial, but instead for friends and family to remember her in their own way. Her ashes will be scattered on the shore of Lake Superior this spring, so be sure to send her a special hello when you visit the north shore.
She is survived by her husband Curt, daughter Carrie, family pets Daisy and Cooper, and many, many friends. Your love and light will remain with us always, Mummy.
