Sheila Marie (McAloon) Lemoi, aged 83, passed away on July 12, 2025, in Sebastian, FL. Born on October 16, 1941, Sheila dedicated much of her life to educating young minds as an elementary school teacher, a vocation that reflected her witty and humorous personality.
She graduated from Bay View Academy and furthered her education at Perry Normal College, which laid a strong foundation for her lifelong commitment to education. She was a beloved figure in the classroom, where she was known not only for her teaching skills but also for her ability to make learning fun and engaging.
A devout member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sheila's faith was a significant aspect of her life, providing her with strength and community. Her commitment to her faith was evident in her active participation in church activities and services.
Sheila is survived by a loving family, including her husband, Richard Lemoi; sons, R. Todd Corayer and Joshua Lemoi; daughter-in-law, Alison Corayer; and grandchildren, Miles Corayer, Alexa Lemoi, and Michael Lemoi. She also leaves behind her sister, Nancy Murphy, and brother, Vincent McAloon. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Agnes McAloon, and brothers, Leo and Terry McAloon.
A service to celebrate Sheila's life will be held at St Sebastian Catholic Church, 13075 US-1, Sebastian, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to VNA Hospice House, 901 37th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, 32960, in memory of Sheila.
Her spirit and legacy will continue to live on through her family, friends, and the many students she inspired throughout her career.

In the summer of 1975 when I witnessed your first meeting with Sheila there was no doubt you and she were meant to be together, and so it came to be. I am so very sorry for the loss of your true love and best friend.
