Sheila Marie Rodriguez

Sheila Rodriguez was an extraordinary mom, wife, sister, daughter, and nana called home on July 26th, 2023. Leaving behind her many cherished memories and legacy of a beautiful family. She was known for her go getter personality and went for everything she wanted. There was no limit she believed that you could manifest anything into existence. Born and raised in Tucson, AZ she contributed to her community, her enthusiasm and willingness to work hard with style and grace.
Sheila was a rare gem - a woman with a heart as pure as gold and a spirit as fierce as Wonder Woman. She had faced many battles in her life, but she wore them with strength and dignity, using her scars as armor to shield herself from further harm. She battled cancer for 8 years surpassing every timeline medical personnel would provide her with. She became a true inspiration. She made goals; make it to 50, marry her life partner, ensure her children were on a great path in life, see the birth of her latest grand baby, and see her daughter get married. She achieved every one of them.
Sheila's energy was infectious, could lift anyone that was lucky enough to be in her presence. She was a force to be wreck-end with and had so many different paths of life. She cherished every encounter whether it be a drink at the casino, a hike at Tumamoc, or a family gathering. She believed that people came into your life for seasons and reasons. She never dwelled on the past; she embraced it, and knew it would continue to mold her into the woman everyone came to love.
Her greatest accomplishment in life was impacting each person in her life. Whether it was a small gesture or life changing (moment). If you were having a bad day, she would send you flowers, if you needed a friend she held open arms, if you needed words of encouragement, she gave you the fighting will. There was no limit to how she would help someone. On top of her grace,she was a strong business woman. She started as a stay at home mom to working as loan specialist, loan officer, escrow officer and ultimately a branch manager. She was a hustler, caregiver and provider.
She loved adventure. If someone around her wanted to do something special she made it happen. She would have a trip planned the next day and say, "Get your bags packed" because to her life was too short not to. She did not believe in waiting until someday; "live every day as if it was your last" she would say. She loved the beach, her and her husband would just take off to San Diego and be back in two nights. Michael was not only her life partner, he was God's angel to her. She didn't think she would love again but she did, with every beat of her heart. He fought the battle with her everyday. Sheila was a fighter. Even to her last breath she made sure to say her goodbyes to her family. She loved her children and grand babies so much. It pained her to leave but she was confident in the beings she raised them to be.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Michael Rodriguez; children: Ramon Ramirez, Manny Ramirez (Gina), Michael Rodriguez, Gabriel Rodriguez, Priscilla Valencia (Isidro), and BreAnn LaRoque (Chris Jr); siblings, Joe John Saucedo, Julian Saucedo and Rosemary Splinder; parents, John Saucedo (deceased) and Aggie Saucedo (living); 10 grandchildren and many friends.
