Sheila Scott Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 26, 2025.
Sheila Ann Scott, 86, of Vancouver, Washington, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025 with family by her side. She was born July 15, 1939 in Seattle Washington to Arthur LaRoy and Mary Andrena (Palmer) Brown.

Sheila graduated from Highline High School in Burien, Washington with the class of '57. She married James Walter Scott. They had two children, Suzanne and Jeffry. After moving to the Vancouver area in 1963, Jim and Sheila divorced. Sheila built a full and joyful life centered around family, hard work and connection. She spent many years in the real estate and banking industries.

Beyond her career, Sheila found her greatest joy in the people she loved. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, never missing a birthday, holiday, or celebration. She was always supportive, thoughtful and caring.

She loved her garden, camping, boating, traveling, swimming with the gals at LA Fitness, playing bridge with the ladies, and relaxing in the warmth of the sun. She embraced every opportunity to be part of the action - it was often said: "If you say go, she has her hat on".

Sheila is survived by her daughter Suzanne (Richard) Iverson of Longview, Washington; and son Jeffry (Donna) Scott of Castle Rock, Washington; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur LaRoy and Mary Brown; her sister Alice Juanita "Happy" Miller and brother Arthur LeRoy "Sonny" Brown.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at Northwood Park, 16407 NE 15th Ave, Ridgefield, Washington, 1:00 - 2:30 PM, on November 10th, to share stories, laughter and love in her memory.
