Sheila Renee Stallcup was born in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, on July 25, 1969 to Lonnie and Patricia (Mathis) Reynolds. She passed away suddenly on February 5, 2025, at the Integris Enid Baptist Health Center. She was 55.
As a young girl, she attended Elmore City Grade School and later transferred to Enid Public Schools when her family moved. She graduated from Enid High School in 1987 and later attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. Sheila returned to Enid and married Jacob Wesley Peterson on March 25, 1989.
On January 24, 1991, Sheila gave birth to her first of three sons, Jacob Dean Peterson, followed by Devin Walter Peterson on December 8, 1993, and Tanner Scott Peterson, her youngest, who joined his brothers in life on August 15, 1995.
On June 16, 2012, Sheila married Richard Carroll Stallcup and loved his children, Ashleigh, Kayleigh, Carleigh, and Cody, as much as her first three sons. Sheila and Richard enjoyed hosting many meals for their large blended family, which includes three grandchildren and several in-laws. Sheila and Richard also enjoyed traveling, with some of her fondest memories being trips to Dublin, Ireland, and Washington, D.C.
Sheila worked as an LPN at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center until her death and took great delight in caring for others in need. She was also involved in Richard's business, Heartland Music Festival, and took immense pride in her efforts to make the festival as enjoyable as possible for countless children over the years. In her spare time, she enjoyed many card games, including Phase 10, where she always got stuck on 7 cards of one color.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Minton.
Mrs. Stallcup is survived by: husband, Richard Stallcup of Enid, Oklahoma; father, Lonnie Reynolds and wife, Darlene of Okeene, Oklahoma; brother, Lonnie Scott Reynolds of Elmore City, Oklahoma; uncles, Lonnie Lee Mathis of Jenks, Oklahoma, and Danny Mathis and wife Becky Mathis of Elmore City, Oklahoma; aunts, Nellie McCarthick of Tishomingo, Oklahoma and Nancy Sue Wiley of Jenks, Oklahoma; children, Jacob Peterson, Devin Peterson and wife Rebecca, Tanner Peterson all of Enid, Oklahoma, Ashleigh Bushnell and Husband Brandon Bushnell of Enid, Oklahoma, Kayleigh Stallcup of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Carleigh Stallcup of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Cody Stallcup of Enid, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Dawson Peterson, Audree Peterson, Sidney Peterson all of Enid, Oklahoma.
