Sheila Michelle White, age 52, of Texarkana, Texas passed away on December 24, 2024. She was born on March 30, 1972, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. with service to follow at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport. Burial will be held at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, LA 71109. Officiating the service will be Brad Burns. Honoring Sheila as pallbearers will be Dylan Ward, Shaun White, Cody Harris, Austin Green, James Ward, and Jake White.
Sheila had a deep appreciation for many aspects of life, but her heart truly belonged to the beach, the LSU football team, the band Lifehouse, the vibrant color yellow, and music in all its forms. She also cherished Dr Pepper and the heartfelt stories of Nicholas Sparks, both in his movies and books. A strong and passionate woman, Sheila devoted herself to her family with unwavering love. Her faith in God was a cornerstone of her life. After a courageous five-year battle with cancer, she sadly passed away on Christmas Eve, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength. Sheila will be remembered as a humorous, compassionate, and beautiful woman inside and out who was a bright light in everyone’s life.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Davidson White; mother and stepfather, Marcia and Wayne Banks; paternal grandparents, George AB and Jane White; and maternal grandparents, Walter and Norma Richardson. She is survived by her daughters, Raven Sims and Sydney Smith; son-in-law, Austin Green; grandchildren, Hayze Hutcheson and Dawson Green; siblings, Stephanie Harris and husband Cody and Shaun White and wife Tracie, nephew, Jake White; her best friend, Brandee Martin; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
