Mr. Barron, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in Madison, MS. Born on January 10, 1945, in Ferriday, Louisiana, Mr. Barron was a salesman for most of his life. He grew up in Shreveport and attended Woodlawn High School. In the late 1980’s, he moved to Nashville, TN where he resided until recently, when he moved to Madison, MS to be near his daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Wesley Barron and Nocomas Poole Barron. He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Barron Roberson, son in law, Beau Roberson, of Madison, MS, grandchildren, John Barron Roberson of Jackson, MS, Sarah Roberson Hamilton; her husband, Brandon Hamilton; and two great-grandchildren, of Madison, MS. He is also survived by his brother, Wesley Dale Barron, and nephew, John Wesley Barron, both of Shreveport.
Robert loved life and always had a positive attitude. He loved everyone and never met a stranger. He loved his family and friends and held them dear. He enjoyed boating trips to Lake Ouachita and taught numerous people how to waterski. Robert’s presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the stories and love shared by all who knew him.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Parkway Health & Rehab in Madison, MS and ACG Hospice-Mississippi. They became family to us the past eight months and took excellent care of him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Gateway Church, Shreveport, Louisiana, or Open Range Fellowship, Greenwood, Louisiana.
