Sheila Hopkins Witt, age 60, of London, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
She leaves behind her only daughter and best friend, Chessie Martha Renea Witt Kirby of London, KY; two siblings, Merlene Lawson & husband Jeff, Wendell Royce Hopkins, all of London, KY; three grandchildren, Wittlee Michelle Kirby, Maddy Rae Kirby, Bryson Wendell Kirby; her niece, Jessica Ellen Lawson; her aunt, Peggy Gilbert of London, KY; her uncles, Cleet Hopkins of London, KY, Wilie Smith of Florida; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Wendell Hopkins and Maggie Ellen Smith Hopkins.
Sheila lived a life filled with joy, faith, and an appreciation for the simple blessings God provided.
Sheila was of the Christian faith and carried that faith with her in all that she did. She loved her family deeply and especially cherished her grandbabies, who were the light of her life.
Sheila found her greatest peace in the outdoors-whether she was working in the yard, camping under the stars, or spending a day at the lake. She enjoyed the thrill of riding four-wheelers and motorcycles and never missed a chance to soak in the beauty of nature.
Among her family, Sheila shared a special bond with her niece, Jessica Ellen, whom she loved like a daughter. Their relationship was one of deep affection and friendship.
Sheila will be remembered for her love of music, her laughter, and her caring spirit that touched everyone she met. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A funeral service honoring Sheila Hopkins Witt will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Roy Eversole officiating.
