Publish in a newspaper

Shelby Lynn Hardisty, 34, passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, at her home in Lewiston. She was born on March 30, 1991, in Cottonwood, to Walter Hardisty and Marcie Draper. Shelby grew up in a big, close-knit family with her two siblings, many cousins, her aunts and uncles and beloved grandparents. Shelby later graduated from Clarkston High School with the Class of 2009.

Shelby married Jacob Wantz on March 23, 2013, and together they built a beautiful family. Shelby was blessed with two daughters, Natalie Leeann Wantz (12) and Nora Joyce Wantz (10), who were the light of her life. Her daughters were the absolute loves of her life. They later divorced.

Shelby will be remembered for her big personality and her recognizable laugh. She is remembered for being a hard worker, bright, honest, joyful, funny, sometimes ditzy, extremely candid and an overall genuine, resilient woman. Shelby loved her family and friends immensely without judgment; her love was unconditional in many aspects. Shelby was fun to be around and could crack a good joke, sometimes even at her own expense. She loved doing arts and crafts, reading a good book, playing games and doing her best at some home improvement projects. Shelby was always up for a good debate, liked to cook and loved to sing. Shelby most recently loved helping her uncle with his food truck to pass the time and keep herself busy. Her therapy, Shelby's favorite self-care, was getting her eyelashes, eyebrows and fingernails done.

Shelby is preceded in death by grandparents, Dave and Camile Hardisty and Sam and Peggy Oliver. She is survived by her daughters, Natalie and Nora Wantz; her parents, Walter Hardisty and Marcie Draper; and her siblings, Dustin Hardisty and Lindsey Hardisty.

Shelby was deeply loved by her family, her extended family and many friends who will cherish her memory forever.

A celebration of Shelby's life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at McMonigles in Lewiston. A potluck meal, open to the community will follow directly. For more information, please contact Rebecca Lehman at (208) 790-1065.

Shelby's love for others and her joyful spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
