Shelby William Wilson, age 24, of Rison, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on September 30, 2025.
Shelby was born on November 2, 2000, in Monticello, Arkansas, to Brad and Stefanie Wilson. He graduated from Rison High School. Shelby was known for his witty personality and unwavering positivity, despite the many challenges he faced. He enjoyed Legos, video games, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Grady Wilson. He is survived by his parents, Brad and Stefanie Wilson; his sisters, Morgan Jones (Jeffery Jones) and LueAaron Wilson; his niece, Juanita Jones; his maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Nancy Shelby; his paternal grandmother, Betty Wilson; and his devoted caregivers, Haley Phillips and Tracy Hebert.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Buie and Cole Funeral Home in Rison, Arkansas. Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., also at Buie and Cole Funeral Home with Brother Wade Peddy officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery in Rison.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Shelby’s caregivers, their church family at Bethel #2 Missionary Baptist Church, and their community for the outpouring of love, support, and kind words. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethel #2 Missionary Baptist Church, where Shelby was a member.
