Thomas Carter Wilson, age 90, of White Hall, passed away from this life on Friday, July 11, 2025 to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He was born August 30, 1934 at Rison Arkansas in the North Concord Community, Whiteoak Township, to the late Eugene C. and Willie Bearden Wilson. He graduated from Rison High School Class in 1952 and also attended Pines Technical College.
He was a member of the Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, an usher and on different church committees.
He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1957 and completed Basic Training at Fort Carson, CO. He attended the Army Infantry School at Fort Benning, Georgia and Ordnance School at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. He served for two years of active duty and two years with the Army Reserve Engineers Field Maintenance Company at Pine Bluff.
He retired from supply management at Union Pacific Railroad in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Jacob Brump Lodge 160 F&AM. He previously served as the Worshipful Master at White Sulphur Lodge 122 F&AM. He was also a member and Worthy Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star Number 40 and served as District and State Chairman.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Jo Reynolds Wilson, whom he married on March 8, 1957; two sons, Jim Wilson (Kathy) of Pine Bluff and Jeff Wilson (Kristie) of Cabot; four grandsons; and three great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Van Eugene (Little Gene) Wilson; and two sisters, Barbara Ann Wilson Reed and Sue Wilson Brown.
Funeral services will be at Fuller Hale-South in Pine Bluff on Thursday, July 17, 2025 with visitation at 9:00 a.m. followed by the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Wilson Cemetery at Rison, Arkansas with Reverend Mike Powell officiating.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and great-grandsons, Jason Wilson, Justin Wilson, Evan Wilson, Brayden Wilson, Ehren Wilson, Caleb Wilson and Chase Smith.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church or Wilson Cemetery Association.
