Dorothy Dobbs Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
Born on January 10, 1935, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Grover Hegwood and Katie Kellum Hegwood.
Dorothy previously worked for Stant Manufacturing and was a member of Northside Baptist Church in White Hall.
She was a gifted cook who poured love into every meal and into the many vegetable gardens she nurtured across her lifetime. She treasured quiet moments with word searches and jigsaw puzzles. Her gentle, selfless spirit was felt by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Jimmie Hegwood and Peggy Palmertree.
She is survived by her son, Rick Dobbs; granddaughters, Deanna, Tonya, Rachel, and Heather; six great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel, 1621 S. Cherry St., Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
